I'm working on getting into blogging on this thing more often, at least every other day so please bear with me while I get on it haha. I just wanted to do a quick update to let everyone know what's been going on in the beauty world lately.

Urban Decay is having a five dollar sale on some lip glosses, pigments and other tools.

Stilla has a few new goodies to peek at, I am lemming for the new one step correct, as I love corrective color concealers and to have all three colors in one primer is amazing.

Temptallia has some new photos from the MAC/Disney Villains collaboration. I REALLY want everything maleficent but I don't wear dark colors, this might be the first time I buy MAC not to wear but just for the packaging.

Finally a collection picture just to compare how my nail polish stash has grown since I started the blog in January:

Orlando Beauty Expo 2010.

In the beginning of June I got the opportunity to attend the Orlando Beauty Expo 2010. As this was my first major hair show I was amazed and wowed at all the gorgeous products and styles that I saw at the show. I'm not the best photographer by far but I'm practicing so here are a few shots from the expo.

This was the show entrance:

This was my favorite booth of the entire show Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics, this is a new polish line from Canada, I got to meet the creator Andrea Pahn, she is shown in the photo below. All of CM's polishes are big three free and come in a great array of colors. My favorite part however has to be the names, I just had to buy Get Wet a minty blue when I was there. I will be doing a swatch post with more information soon.

This was an awesome dress made of hair, I just had to take a picture.

Next I got to check out the body painted Copolla Keratin Treatment models:

I got to attend a Martin Parsons cutting class which was great, he is one of the best hairstylists around and funny to boot!

I look so terrible here but I got to meet my idol KIM VO!! He was so sweet and gave everyone in a line a bag with promo materials and a free full sized product from his hair care line. He really is such an inspiration and so positive and bubbly!

I also got to meet the creative director from Framesi who had come all the way from Italy for this show. Hs name is Luigi and he showed us a few great new cutting techniques along with styling. I loved his pink loafers and between that and his translators fabulous Dolche and Gabanna outfit I was in love.

My weekly at home facial.

Once a week I like to give myself a little at home facial to clear up my skin and detox it. It's taken me a few years to find a good combination for my specific skin type but this is what works for me.

I start by cleansing my face with Philosophy Purity facial cleanser, I like this because it's gentle on my skin and it melts my makeup right off.

Next I scrub my face with a nice facial scrub. I like this one because the particles are very small and in my opinion is comparable to MAC's microfine refinsher but at half the price, this is so good it's one of the few things I keep backup's of incase they take it off the market:

Next I give my skin a swipe with Clinique toner:

Next step is Queen Helen Mint Julep Mask to pull out any excess oil:

Then I do a few pore strips, usually on my nose and chin but occasionally one on my forehead anywhere little blackheads pop up:

To finish my facial I do a moisturizer, if it's night time I use Biore Hard Day's Night and if it's daytime I use Eucerin Redness Relief which has a slight green tint to help with my ruddy complexion:

I just wanted to post a quick picture of my nail polish and how I'm storing it for now. This is on a bookshelf in a bookcase in my room. I needed something so I could quickly pick a color and I haven't gotten around to getting a wall rack yet so this works for now.

Hello All,
I'm not really sure how to go about starting a blog so I'm just gonna take my time and try to make full, informative posts about new and existing beauty products. This is kinda my pet project for the new year. I am 25 years old and I graduated cosmetology school in October of last year I am currently working on taking my state board so I can be a licensed stylist. I recently quit my waitress job as I was tired of waiting on tables and wanted to finally start working in a the beauty industry. I am hoping to get a job at a salon or maybe a beauty supply store just to keep busy while I work on perfecting my skills as a stylist. Manly this blog is for fun and to have another excuse to buy more makeup and nail polish ( as if I ever needed one before ). I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing.
